Anxiety In Men and Women

A common stereotype for women is that they are thought to be more of a worrier than men. Studies show, however, that men are just as susceptible to anxiety and panic attacks as women. Realistically, anxiety is a natural human emotion. In many instances, anxiety is helpful in that it prevents us from doing harmless things to ourselves. It can become very painful and harmful if it becomes a common, recurring condition. Lately, natural anxiety cures have become a popular treatment option for those suffering from chronic anxiety.

Many unwanted effects can come from constant worrying such as OCD, phobia, and even depression. Panic attacks are the most common effect that anxiety can cause. Even though, both men and women are susceptible, women are more likely to suffer these disorders of anxiety and experience panic attacks.

There are obvious reasons that anxiety occurs more often in women ,such as biological factors like more drastic physical changes that women go through-pregnancy, menopause, and the like. Even still, it is uncertain and specific reasons are unknown as to why women suffer more than men.

To summarize, panic attacks and anxiety are very real and unfortanately often go untreated. There is hope for someone suffering from anxiety and various treatments on how to handle panic attacks have been proven to work for a signifcant number of people. If you suspect you suffer often from anxiety, do yourself a favor by researching possible treatments and finding one that will work for you.
