Can you take any type of tax credit for tuition for massage therapy school?

Can you take a tuition credit on taxes for a massage therapy school? This was just over $5000 and you do have to take a state board to get licensed. If so is the cost of the massage table also deductible since it was required for the school?

This will qualify you for a new trade so is not deductible. If you take classes to maintain or improve your skills they are deductible. Hope and Lifetime Learning credits can only be taken for expenses at an accredited college or university.
