My 14 yr old son is starting to have some problems with acne. I’ve been lucky my whole life and never had to deal with it. Therefore I have no clue what works and what doesn’t. I’ve seen a lot of ads for different things but some are pretty expensive. I’d rather not spend that much on something that isn’t going to work. Any suggestions would be great.

I have been using Proactive for a couple months now. I used to use it on my whole face but then after about a month of using it it dried my cheek out HORRIBLY. I started putting the Repairing Lotion on that area, which only made it worse. So I stopped using it all together for a week or two. But then my acne got worse and I only used it in problem areas and without the repairing lotion. It keeps my acne somewhat under control but it is still pretty bad and I get frequent outbreaks.

I have scheduled an appointment with the dermatologist for a Smoothbeam treatment. I am so sick of my acne its hard to look in the mirror. I have moderate acne with some scarring and ive tried everything from proactiv (which dries out my skin) to rentin a micro ( which also dries out my skin), i need something diffferent can anyone suggest anything really really good that works.
